Top 5 Wednesday is a weekly book meme created by Samantha and Lainey.
This weeks is: Hidden Gems in Your Favourite Genre – So these are some of my favourite YA Fantasy books that I don’t think get enough hype!
An Ember In The Ashes by Sabaa Tahir
It’s 2018 and I honestly still think this series isn’t talked about enough. It’s one of my favourite ongoing series, I love the world and the characters so much. I can’t wait for the third book A Reaper At The Gates, to come out later this year!
The Star-Touched Queen by Roshani Chokshi
OKAY, I literally only finished this one yesterday and having extremely enjoyed my reading experience with it, I think it’s truly underrated! not enough people talk about this one. Inspired by Indian folklore / Hades & Persephone. A story full of beautiful writing and dreamy worldbuilding.
This Savage Song by V.E. Schwab
Most known for her shades of magic series (of which is amazing), but This Savage Song is also really good and a book I really enjoyed. Victoria’s writing is so solid and set in a world where monsters and humans are divided, vampires, friendship.. what more could you want?!
The Young Elites by Marie Lu
Most known for her Legend trilogy (which is a series I actually didn’t like) I loved The Young Elites, it’s a dark fantasy, full of villains that I had a lot of fun reading and led me to want to read books by this author again. (also check out warcross)
Rebel Belle by Rachel Hawkins
This book is probably one of the most humorous fantasy books I’ve ever read, it really is a lot of fun. You just have to pretend it’s a standalone cause the sequels were disappointing in my opinion. I also highly recommend the audiobook!
