It’s that time of year where everyone is thinking of the future, what are your goals for the next 12 months? How would you like to improve from the previous year?
In this post, I’m going to be talking about my personal goals for the year, in terms of reading.
I think this is something a lot of us are guilty of doing in one way or another. For me, it’s usually the amount that I’m reading, which in the past has been because of my Goodreads goal that I’d set myself at the beginning of the year. This year though I’ve decided against it, giving myself the freedom of reading at my own pace.
This is something I definitely have done more of over the past couple of years, and it’s something I’d like to continue to do more of this year. Attending events! whether it be a blogger evening, book launch or YALC. It’s something that I love doing, supporting authors and catching up with blogger pals.
Books to read?
What I started doing towards the end of 2017, I really want to catch up on all things Shadowhunter Chronicles, ready for Queen of Air and Darkness in December.
Finish series’ that I’ve started and have been completed. Off the top of my head, I’m thinking The Shades of Magic trilogy by V.E. Schwab, The Grisha trilogy by Leigh Bardugo & The Young Elites series by Marie Lu.
Perhaps the hardest thing of them all and the struggle of book lovers everywhere, drowning in too many books you’ve bought. Something I really would like to do this year is to shrink my tbr shelve(s). Some books have been sitting there for longer than I care to admit, So if I could just make a dent in that this year, then I’ll be happy.
