As someone who has decided not to set a Goodreads reading goal this year, i’ve definitely felt less pressure than what I was feeling in 2016. I’ve just checked and I have read 18 books so far this year and i’m pretty darn happy with that, i’ve read a lot of amazing books so far already.
Here are just a few things i’d like to do/read this summer:
Finish my Cassandra Clare reread
I’m currently reading City of fallen angels (straight from finishing City of glass) and i’m loving being back in the shadow hunter world, its so much fun and i’ve missed it. With the release of Lord Of Shadows and seeing everyones reactions to it, I really want to catch up on this series, but because I first read these books a long time ago, I needed a refresh.
I got the stunning Waterstones edition of Lord of shadows a few days ago, to go with the special edition of Lady Midnight.
ALL THE V.E. SCHWAB!
In the last few months I have read the first two books in the Shades Of Magic series and LOVED them. I can’t believe it took me so long to read them, what was I thinking?! So I can’t wait to read the final book A Conjuring Of Light, pretty soon to complete the series. As if that isn’t enough..
OUR DARK DUET IS OUT THIS MONTH.
You could say i’m pretty excited for this one, it’s one of my most anticipated books of the year, I read This Savage Song, last year and really loved how unique it was, Victorias writing is just mesmerising to me, Can’t wait to see what happens in this sequel and conclusion novel.
I have legit been staring at this book in Waterstones for months, but never actually bought it. This summer I want to change that. I have heard nothing but great things about this novel, a lot of comments I’ve seen is that this is one of Victorias best. Also because we recently found out this isn’t the end of the story set in this world! so I need to get on this, sooner rather than later.
MY TBR SHELF:
Aka, the top shelf of my second bookcase, which has contained books that have been staring at me for like the past 6 months. The books are:
The Rose & The Dagger by Renee Ahdieh
Geek Girl by Holly Smale
Three Dark Crowns by Kendare Blake
Truthwitch by Susan Dennard
Scarlett by Marissa Meyer
Passenger by Alexandra Bracken
^ so if I don’t read these this summer, i’ll be sad ok, it just needs to happen.
That’s all for now and that’s not even including half of the new releases i’m excited for, so as I said before, no pressure or anything.
